Q.
Do I need a swim cap?
A. You will be provided with
a swim cap that must be worn so that you can
be seen easier by other swimmers. You may use
your own swim cap if you wish, as long as it
is noticeable in the water . |

A. It is recommend that you
use them, but its your choice . |

| Q.
What should I wear for the run? |
| A.
Your body temperature will be very warm when
you finish the swim so it may be best to put
on at least a T shirt or a long sleeve T shirt
to keep your body temperature from dropping
too much. Running shorts can be worn over trunks
but lycra shorts are probably best as you can
swim in them and then go straight out onto the
run in them. |

Q.
Should I use a towel at the changeover
to the run? |
| A.
More serious competitors won’t use a towel
at all, however it is recommended that you towel
off for a few seconds to get the excess water
off your body, this will prevent your body from
cooling down very quickly in the outside air
and perhaps even stop you from feeling cold
on the run. Bear in mind that the clock is ticking. |

Q.
When I finish the race can I go straight
indoors and use the showers? |
| A.
The finish line is right next to the pool entrance
and of course you can use the shower facilities
at the pool. |
